How to use your BePure supplements

These are the recommended daily consumption sizes and occasions.

Why is Go Good whey protein powder better than others?

We use only NZ whey in our Whey Protein Concentrate blends. New Zealand whey is recognised worldwide for being of the highest quality.

Hormones & Antibiotic-Free Cows: Unlike other dairy producers the New Zealand industry has banned the use of growth hormones on cows, specifically Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) which is injected to into cows to increase milk production in other countries.
Grass-Fed Cows: New Zealand dairy cows maintain a natural diet grazing on lush chemical free grass pastures. Non NZ whey protein is sourced from cows that are usually raised on un-natural corn or soy based diets and injected with antibiotics to survive unsanitary conditions.

What is the difference between whey protein concentrate (WPC) and whey protein isolate (WPI)?

Whey isolate goes through an extra filtration process which virtually removes all of the sugar, fat and lactose, leaving an almost pure protein source. Whey Protein Concentrate is a great all-round everyday protein source with amazing BCAA profile. Cost effective and versatile. Whey Protein Isolate is extremely high protein profile and used with performance in mind. On the expensive side and usually reserved for those with specific dietary goals and requirements.

What is the difference between whey protein and plant-based protein?

Simply put Whey Protein comes from dairy (cows milk) and Pea Protein comes from plants. Both Whey and Pea protein are vegetarian friendly and Pea protein is vegan. Nutritionally Go Good Whey and Pea protein is almost identical it really only comes down to personal dietary preference to choose one over the other. The consistency of whey protein is slightly lighter than pea protein which means it’s not as thick. Both Go Good whey and pea protein is sourced from world leading suppliers ensuring premium quality and the best possible nutritional profile.

Is whey protein concentrate suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, our complete range of WPC is suitable for lactose vegetarians to consume. Protein powders are an extremely effective way to boost protein intake and meet daily nutrient needs. If you are vegan, our plant protein range will suit your diet.

How much protein powder should I use?

A physically active person needs 1.2 – 1.8 grams of protein per kilo (kg) of bodyweight each day to maintain and build lean muscle mass. If you exercise regularly like us, then two serves of protein powder per day is ideal. To make it simple we have 2 scoops in a morning smoothie and directly after training / exercise.

What is the recommended serving size?

We’ve made things simple. Two full paper scoops will make a 30g serving. Each serving of whey protein concentrate contains about 24g of protein.

When should I use protein powder?

30mins after physical activity and throughout the day as preferred - protein powder is a recommend addition to healthy smoothies. This is when your muscles are most likely to absorb the nutrients needed for muscle growth and recovery. If possible blend or consume our protein with a banana as this will help raise blood sugar levels making you feel better and assist with recovery.

Can I take protein powder while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Short answer, yes. Our protein powders are manufactured to the highest standards using only the cleanest, healthiest ingredients.

While protein powder makes up a substantial portion of most infant formulas and is a staple source of a child’s nutrition following birth it is recommended users always consult with health professionals.
